Science Europe, cOAlition S, OPERAS, and the French National Research Agency (ANR) will host the second Diamond Open Access (OA) Community Webinar of 2025 on 27 October 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00 CEST.
This webinar aims to keep the Diamond OA community informed and involved in ongoing initiatives. The event will highlight recent progress and provide an opportunity for participants to share their perspectives and contribute to shaping the next steps of these collective efforts.
Programme
- Zeynep Varoglu (UNESCO) will present UNESCO’s approach to Diamond OA within the broader framework of open solutions aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the upcoming UN Global Digital Compact.
- Ashley Farley (Gates Foundation) will discuss the Foundation’s recently adopted open access policies.
- @johanrooryck (European Diamond Capacity Hub) and @PierreMounier (OPERAS) will share updates on the first year of the European Diamond Capacity Hub and outline its future directions.
- Sridhar Gutham (ICAR – Indian Institute of Horticultural Research) will introduce the concept and programme of the 2026 Global Summit on Diamond OA.
